Typhoon Haiyan

For my final project in an introductory course in GIS or geographic information systems, I studied how Metro Manila, the Philippines’ capital, would be theoretically impacted by the 2013 super typhoon Haiyan that affected the Visayas region. This exploration focused on population and land use, but has implications on disaster preparedness in the capital, especially for those living in slum communities.
